Good Day 10/29/09

The National Interagency Fire Center is compiling a list of people interested in the 2010 Australia fire season.

Attached are 2 forms (Expression of Interest Letter and Expression of Interest Form) that need to be filled out and submitted by November 20,2009. Please note that at this time they are only looking at certain quals (see forms).
If you do not have one or more of identified positions, do not apply.

By submitting your "Expression of Interest" form you are committing yourself to be available for international deployment for 2010.

Please read attachments for further information. Also, check with your supervisor on your availability for an assignment should you apply and be dispatched.

8/10/09 The baby bust continues...

8/10/09
Donna and Seth Hansen gave birth to a healthy, happy, and huge baby boy this morning. Good job you two! We look foreword to meeting your baby soon.

Congratulations to Michelle and Charles Savoia. They (mostly Michelle) gave birth to a healthy 8 lbs, 9 oz. baby girl! Her Name is Lucia and all is well.

Congratulations also goes out to Sara and Court Wallace! They (mostly Sara) gave birth to a healthy 5 lbs 7oz. baby girl named Taylor Katherine. They are doing well and adjusting to their new family addition.

Scarpa Pro Deal

SCARPA North America extends its Pro Program to select, full time, paid outdoor professionals, who require our products to perform responsibilities directly related to their employment. We have recently launched a new website to make the pro purchase process more user friendly, live and convenient. All individual pros need to go to the following site and apply as a new user.

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING PAPER PRO FORMS.

Once you have completed the on-line application (Submit a Pro Application tab) you will be notified via email of your acceptance into the program, or whether further evidence or documentation is required. Once approved, you will be issued a code that will enable you to access an online catalog of available gear, relative to your field of employment (ski / Mtn, Hike and Climb / or both). Membership into the SCARPA North America Pro Program is good for a 6 month season and will require future reapplication. The renewal will be automatically prompted via your email 6 months from the date of acceptance into the program. Enjoy, play safe… and see you in the mountains!
